The Cia Provisional Danza, established in Madri, Spain, was created in 1987 by Carmen Werner, and wishes to disembowel the human truths – both conscious and unconscious – involving public and interpreters in an expressive environment, creating expectations, tension and interest inside a certain sensitive perturbation and through maximum aesthetic and technical accuracy. The company speaks of contemporary themes such as the waiting, no-violence, death, solitude, human life’s stagnation, freedom to choose one’s own destiny or the supposed freedom of choice of one’s own paths, by using the language of dance-theater. On stage, the result of a choreographic process based on emotions, perceptions, creations and the body of the very dancers-interpreters, which resources to repetition as a factor of transformation and re-signification of the movement.
The group has developed many choreographic works, urban space dancing, workshops, videodance, film participation and collaborations with other companies. In 2000 they received the Cultural Prize in the session Dança da Comunidade de Madri and in 2007 they received the Prêmio Nacional de Danza in the creation genre.
