Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Presents MEU PRAZER
Theatro São Pedro – November 19 – 9 p.m.
The voice of Francisco Alves, the compositions of Francisco Mignone, Henrique Oswald, Ernesto Nazareth and Maria Kalaniemi in the scenery of Beatriz Milhazes create the setting for the love letters that the four dancers of Marcia Milhazes Companhia de Dança will write with gestures, making the new work of the choreographer -“Meu Prazer”-.
In the juicy suspended garden created by Beatriz Milhazes, Meu Prazer is revealed through a strong poetic imagery, where four people loaded with their own stories and lonesome experiences create a weaving of meanings – solitude as a wish for the unknown. As in the previous works, the choreography is narrated with a sondtrack of music by brazilian composers, generally unknown for the audience, which fits together with the plot that is being revealed.
